VALUE NOTICE DATE:
No Value Notice, instead the County will mail a copy of the Rendition
to the taxpayer or Agent indicating the assessment and/or any changes necessary from the value filed on the
Rendition.
RIGHT OF PROTEST:
Call your county assessors' office first for an informal appeal. If you are not satisfied with the results then call
your county clerk prior to 20-August and schedule an appointment with the county equalization board. It is
too late to appeal after you have received your tax bill but the assessments for the next tax bill may be
appealed. Notice will be mailed 20 days before the scheduled hearing.

The county equalization board normally meets in the months of August and September to hear assessment
appeals. Schedule your appointment for appeal with the county clerk prior to this meeting.
TAX DUE:
10-October following year; Real estate taxes may be paid in installments. 1/4 due 15-April; 1/4 due 15-July; and the final 1/2 due by 10-October.
TAXING JURISDICTIONS:
County & City Jurisdictions. The county includes the General Fund;
Children's Hospital; County Road Fund; and School. Tax Statements in arrears. For example 2007 Taxes payable in 2008.
